- Undergraduate student graduating in biological or health care sciences with an interest in writing (Preferred)
- Microsoft Office: 1 year (Preferred)
- Grant Writing: 1 year (Preferred)
Full Job Description
Internship will be a part-time or full-time, temporary, non-paid position, and lasting 10-13 weeks beginning immediately if possible. This position is not eligible for benefits.
Here is what we are looking for:
- A big thinker with a passion for the Colon Cancer Foundation®’s mission to reducing colorectal cancer incidence and death, and other issues aligned with our values
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
- Ability to assist with conducting research to identify public and private grants, and with grant application, including drafting sections of the grant
- Diligent writer with excellent proofreading and copyediting skills
- Extremely organized and able to work independently and as a team member on multiple projects
- Dedicated, detail-oriented, proficient grant writer who can navigate the grant development process
- Maintain communication on the progress of obtained grants with the team and with designated contacts
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite Products, specifically Word, Excel, and internet search tools
- 15-20 hours of commitment per week
- Reliable internet and Zoom access required, since the position is remote
- 2 writing samples required
