Turnout Benefits Fifth Annual 5K Run & Family Walk
As
the starter's horn blared, hundreds of family, friends, supporters
and sponsors took off running and walking to raise awareness for the
Susan Cohan Colon Cancer Foundation's mission to dramatically reduce
the death rate from colon cancer. Runners and walkers from 2 to 82
joined together on a delightful trip through historic Towson
neighborhoods admiring the interesting architecture and gaining
inspiration along the way. The beauty of the Susie's Cause Race on
October 4th weekend was truly a refection of Susie's inner and outer
beauty. The great determination of our supporters represents
Susie's uncompromising strength in her battle against colon cancer.

Turnout Drives Successful Tournament As
the sun set on our Annual Pro Celebrity Golf Tournament it was
clearly evident that Susan was with all of us. It was a day
that was truly too beautiful for words. Everyone in attendance knew
that they were part of something very special. We want to thank
Kendal Ehrlich, the former First Lady of Maryland and our Honorary
Chairperson for her gracious support. Everyone appreciated her
participation and enjoyed her warmth and passion for our mission. Read More about the Golf

Screening
Is For Everyone at Any Age Almost
all of the information you will read and the commercials you will
see urge everyone to be screened at 50 years of age. Perhaps, even a
few years earlier if you have a history of colon cancer in your
family. The fact of the matter is ,this year approximately 13,000
young men and women will be diagnosed with colon cancer. Does it
matter what the statistics indicate if you, your spouse, your child,
or someone you love or care about is diagnosed with colon cancer?
People should talk to their doctor about starting colorectal cancer
screening earlier and/or being screened more often if they have any
of the colorectal cancer risk factors, like smoking, obesity, or a
personal history of inflammatory bowel disease. Learn more about these
and other risk factors. Be proactive and schedule a screening
today! |

The
Colon Cancer Foundation was founded in 2004, and received 501(c) (3)
status on January 19, 2005. The President of the Foundation, David
Rodman Cohan, an international business attorney, vigorously
launched this Foundation after the tragic loss of his daughter Susan
Cohan to colon cancer. Susan is survived by her two young
children.
The
Susan Cohan Colon Cancer Foundation will work to eliminate colon
cancer as a life threatening disease through the development and
dissemination of educational programs focused on prevention, early
screening and detection, and aggressive therapeutic
intervention. To
