November 2006 Newsletter
Hello Everyone & Welcome to our November 2006 Newsletter We are so excited to deliver to millions of viewers across the United States the first and only documentary dedicated to Colon Cancer. Nationally renowned surgeons, actors, sports personalities, musicians, comedians, TV personalities, government, ethnic and religious leaders all join forces to present shocking stories about a kind of cancer that is taboo to talk about, so much in fact it has become the number two killer in the nation next to lung cancer where it is cheaper to let people die than save them. Twenty-five percent of Americans are vulnerable to this disease too shameful to talk openly about. The disease? Colorectal cancer. Leaders from the entertainment industry, government, and medicine, will share their personal stories and insight along with average people that have lived through and shared the pain of those they care for the most as they battle this horrific killer. Joe Eyring, one of the top colorectal surgeons in the US according to the New England Journal of Medicine will provide his insight and passion on the prevention of colon cancer. Anne Brady-Moore’s – mother passed away from colon cancer. Her compelling story about the final days with her mother’s passing and organizing and her devotion to saving lives is remarkable for the now 24 year old. She conducts One day symposiums for Cancer Survivors, outside virtual colonoscopy and gets college age students to get their parents to commit to a colon cancer screenings. Susie’s young daughter, Demi, shares a heart ripping story of how her mother was misdiagnosed, only to discover alone in an ER in the middle of the night and in agonizing pain that she wood soon die and her memories of what followed until her death - even more difficult hearing the truth from a child who recognizes the unnecessary aspects of her mother’s passing as she was misdiagnosed. Countless stories reflecting this diseases attack on men and women of all ages, colors, nationalities, and socio-economic status will bring this killer to light as never before. While we are waiting for final funding, we have continued moving forward with the video. We edited a short 3.5 minute promo and posted it both in the iTunes Store and on You Tube.
