February 2007 Newsletter
Hello Everyone & Welcome to our February 2007 Newsletter As we enter another Colon Cancer Month we are so excited at the continued growth of the Foundation. The Save Our Parents program continues to expand across the United States, just this past week educating hundreds of students and thousands of adults in Evansville Indiana. Next stops for the program are Springfield Missouri with the American Cancer Society, Denver Colorado with Centura Health, Puerto Rico, Columbus Ohio, Ft. Smith Arkansas, Wilmington, Delaware, and many more. The Save Our Parents program continues to travel with support from Olympus as a part of the Body Worlds display. Next stop will be in Phoenix, Arizona and hopefully on to Charlotte North Carolina. Preparing for Colon Cancer Awareness Month we are working on two film documentaries, one is scheduled to begin filming at the Masters Golf Tournament in Augusta Georgia in the spring along with a Public Service Announcement and taping Colon Cancer Awareness messages on CBS radio affiliates. Thousands of you have joined our monthly subscription base as our website is attracted over 1,500,000 hits per month. We are so thankful to be able to help so many of you on line with resources for medications that you are having difficulty with payments, transportation for Chemotherapy, guidance from our surgeons and oncologists, and often simply someone to talk to. Many pharmaceutical companies have joined in this important support network. We continue to maintain focus on minorities and the under served While there is encouraging news in the battle against colon cancer on a National basis their continues to be alarming statistics in particular ethnic communities. One of our goals for the remainder of 07 is to continue to build the infrastructure of the Foundation. We are honored to be interviewing leaders in the industry that are excited to join us and expand our work. We are excited to open Affiliate organizations in markets across the United States. We urge you to contact us if you are interested in being an Affiliate in your area. Colon Cancer Awareness month is a wonderful opportunity for education. Please spread the screening word in March and together we can save a lot of lives. Join us as we continue to remain equally focused during the other eleven months of the year. More than ever, from coast to coast, we need your help.
