The Seventh Annual 5K Race and Family Walk
Susie's Cause and title Sponsor M&T Bank would like to thank you for your support at our 2011 Race and Family Walk. The weather was perfect and as the starter signaled “GO”, the largest crowd in the history of the Foundation took to the streets of Towson, MD. Supporters of all ages ran, walked and rode in a festive atmosphere as they shared in this wonderful day of education, support, and memory. We could not ask for a better celebration of life and all of the Foundation's accomplishments.
Since the inception of Susie's Cause, Colon Cancer has experienced an amazing reduction in cancer death rates in the United States and has recently been downgraded from the second leading cancer killer of men and women to the third leading cancer killer. This is great news and knowing that the work we do is making progress inspires us to do even more each year.
Special thanks go to our Race Chairman and Co-chairman, devoted board members Dr. Howard Berg of Colon Rectal Surgical Associates and Mike DiPaula for their role in this year’s record breaking event. We also want to thank our corporate sponsors and volunteers for making this year’s event such a success.
